Terms of Service

Version 2026-11-02 • effective 2 November 2026

These Terms are an agreement between you and Aaron Innovations ("we") for use of XPRISM, the Experimental Pharmacology Research & Interactive Student Module ("XPRISM" or "the Lab"). By creating an account, signing in or using the Lab you agree to these Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Conditions of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Lab.

1. The service

The Lab provides interactive computer simulations of pharmacology practical experiments, with observation sheets, statistics, viva questions and, for enrolled users, assignment, submission and grading tools. It is a teaching aid intended to replace the use of animals in teaching, in line with the 3Rs, CCSEA guidance and the Pharmacy Council of India's requirement for computer-assisted modules (see Ethical use of animals).

2. Accounts and roles

  • Accounts are created by a college admin or faculty member, by a student using a class code issued by faculty, or by an individual signing up for a free trial. Roles are Super Admin, College Admin, Faculty, Lab Assistant and Student. Each role sees only what it needs.
  • You must give accurate information, keep your password secret, and not share your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell your faculty or college admin at once if you suspect misuse.
  • Temporary passwords must be changed at first sign-in.
  • Visitors may browse the catalogue and legal pages. Opening any experiment requires an account (a free-trial account allows one visit per experiment, see section 3).

3. Free trial and subscriptions

  • Anyone aged 18 or over may create one free-trial account. A free-trial account may explore each experiment module once, as set out in the trial rules, which you accept in a pop-up after first sign-in. After a module's visit ends it is available by subscription only.
  • Unlimited access is provided through a college subscription, which covers users enrolled by that college while the subscription is active, or an individual subscription granted by us for a stated period.
  • Subscription fees, periods and terms are agreed separately in writing (quotation, invoice or agreement). If a subscription lapses, users fall back to the trial rules; their stored records are kept under the Privacy Policy.
  • We may withdraw the free trial, or change its scope, for new sign-ups at any time.

4. Colleges and faculty

  • A college that enrols users through the Lab is responsible for having a lawful basis to do so, including any required consent from students, or from parents or guardians of students under 18, and for informing its students how marks recorded in the Lab are used.
  • Faculty decide assignments, time limits and marks. Automatic scores are an aid; final academic decisions rest with the faculty and college. We are not responsible for grading decisions or for internal-assessment outcomes.
  • Colleges should export and keep their own copies of marks they need to retain under university rules.

5. Educational use only: no professional advice

Simulated results are generated by mathematical models with built-in randomness for teaching. They are not real experimental data. Do not use them for clinical, veterinary, regulatory or research decisions, or as a source of drug doses for humans or animals. Doses and procedures shown follow typical teaching manuals and must be checked against your institution's approved protocols before any real laboratory work.

6. Intellectual property

The Lab, including its simulations, text, graphics and software, belongs to Aaron Innovations or its licensors. You may use it for your own learning and teaching within your enrolled college. You may not copy, resell, sub-license, frame, scrape or redistribute the Lab or its content, or remove proprietary notices, without written permission. Your own submissions remain yours. You grant us and your college a licence to store, display and assess them for the purposes in the Privacy Policy.

7. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Lab available but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We may change, add or remove experiments and features, and will try to give colleges reasonable notice of significant changes. Scheduled maintenance may make the Lab temporarily unavailable.

8. Suspension and termination

We or your college may suspend or close an account that breaches these Terms or the Conditions of Use, or when it is no longer authorised (e.g. a student leaves the college). You may stop using the Lab at any time and request deletion of your account from My data.

9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Lab is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of data you did not submit, or decisions taken based on simulated results. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Lab is limited to the amount, if any, paid for the Lab by you or your college in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Kolkata, India have exclusive jurisdiction, without prejudice to your rights before the Data Protection Board of India or consumer forums where applicable. Please first contact us at drvaraprasadsaka@gmail.com so we can try to resolve any issue.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes take effect when we publish the new version and ask you to accept it at your next sign-in.
